13 Things You Totally Remember Wrong

We hate to have to break it to you, but your memory sucks. If you've been on the internet recently, you've probably heard of The Mandela Effect, and if you haven't? Well, Google it, because we're almost certain we're remembering the definition wrong. (If you haven't been on the internet recently, thanks for landing here!)

Fact is, our memory is so prone to mistakes that scientists argue eye witness testimony is one of the most unreliable ways we get convictions. You can either choose to believe we are putting innocent people in prison based on the easily manipulated memories of your peers, OR you can just assume the multiverse is real and somewhere right now Loki is reading some Bearenstein Bears. Human beings are prone to confidently being super wrong about things. But don't worry, that's why we're here to set the record straight, 12…wait, no, we forgot one…13 examples at a time.

YOUR FAULTY MEMORY: The Bearenstein Bears are a beloved illustrated book series from when I was a child, which I remember fondly, named so because they were, of course, bears. CRACKEDO THE REALITY: Wrong again, it's Berenstain. The name wasn't chosen to match the ursine characters, but rather the characters were chosen to match the name, which is the real surname of the creators- Stan and Jan Berenstain.
