Movies have a lot of moving parts. There's the set, the script, the makeup and prosthetics, the technical equipment like lights, cameras, boom mics and that cool thing the director gets to clap to start the scene. One of the most interesting parts of movies as an art form are all the physical artifacts they produce. 

One of our favorite aspects of movies of course are the amazing props. The thing about these props of course are the stories that accompany them.

For example, did you know the fish skeleton in Airplane! was actually a very expensive museum piece? The production paid over $350 for something they probably could have got from a fish store for a buck.

In the movie the Wrestler, the drugs might not have been real--but the effect of the inositol sure was.
